**About the role**:
This role contributes to the success of the City by supporting the day-to-day running of the waste operations area. The role combines operational field work requirements with office-based tasks, assisting the Unit to ensure core waste services are maintained.

Role accountabilities include:

- Assist the Program Leader Waste Operations and Waste Collections Officers to undertake the day-to-day operational aspects of the collection's services, and other activities associated with the provision of waste services to the City.
- Undertake the bin supply and maintenance program for kerbside waste services including tasks such as maintenance, repair, replacement, new, and upgrades of waste, recycling, and FOGO bins and parts.
- Undertake the duties of the 'Shadow Vehicle' as required to ensure the safety of the team while collecting in heavily trafficked one-way streets.
- Wash and repair wheelie bins for reuse and salvage bin parts for reuse and disposal and ensure th eappropriate stokc of new bins, wheels, lids. and other spare parts.
- Undertake the duties of the was collections operator/labourer as required.

**About you**:
You will have a demonstrated knowledge of the delivery of Municipal waste management services or a demonstrated practical competence acquired through several years of experience, as well as, a current MR Drivers Licence.
