Neami National is a community mental health service supporting people living with mental illness to improve their health, live independently and pursue a life based on their own strengths, values and goals. We have been providing mental health support for over 30 years. We were founded on an alliance between professionals, individuals and their families. Collaborative recovery remains at the heart of who we are today.

**About your new role**

**What will you bring to the role?**
- A strong understanding of recovery processes; and an ability to articulate and promote the value of and strengths gained from lived experiences of recovery
- Ability to role-model and develop recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practices across the service
- Demonstrated leadership skills and attributes
- Sound knowledge and experience in using coaching and mentoring skills -or preparedness to undertake training to further develop these skills
- Willingness to intentionally and purposefully share your lived experience to support the recovery and growth of service visitors and staff
- A nuanced understanding of mental health systems and service navigation
- Demonstrate integrity, credibility and ability to foster open communication
- Ability to work productively in a fast paced, changing and dynamic environment
- Ability to establish and maintain respectful professional relationships that have clear boundaries with service visitors, staff and partner organisations.

**What the role requires**:

- National Criminal History Check (Police check) - disclosable outcomes considered
- Current Working with Children Check required before commencement of work
- Current Drivers licence
- Australian Working Rights
- As part of Neami’s condition of employment you will need to provide appropriate evidence of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (having received three doses) to Neami National.
