Toowoomba Grammar School is seeking an energetic Marketing Officer to join the team on a short-term contract. Playing a crucial role in enhancing brand awareness, the key objective is to contribute to the growth and success of TGS by building a strong and positive brand presence in the market.

**About Toowoomba Grammar School**

Toowoomba Grammar School was founded in 1875 and is a member school of the Great Public Schools Association of Queensland (GPS). It is an independent non-denominational day and boarding school for boys with a total enrolment of close to 1,200 from Preparatory to Year 12. There are approximately 300 boarders in the School coming predominantly from throughout Queensland, Northern New South Wales and the Northern Territory. The School’s campus covers 20.5 hectares and is located one kilometre from the centre of Toowoomba.

It is our vision that our boys will graduate from TGS with the skills to be independent, well-balanced, and successful in life. That they are boys of good character who respond well to challenges and achieve life-long wellbeing.

**About the Position**

The Marketing Officer role involves contributing to the execution of diverse marketing and promotional initiatives for TGS. Responsibilities encompass the creation of content and images to sustain our social media presence, along with taking on photography responsibilities for visual content.

Other key duties include crafting marketing materials and advertisements for various communication channels as part of comprehensive marketing campaigns. Furthermore, the Marketing Officer is expected to develop online content that highlights TGS activities and student accomplishments.

**Selection Criteria**:
You will be able to demonstrate your ability and commitment to:

- **Marketing Knowledge and Skills**: Demonstrated understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and tactics, with proficiency in digital marketing, social media, content creation, and other relevant marketing tools.
- **Communication Skills**: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling marketing messages and materials.
- **Creativity**: Innovative thinking and the ability to generate creative ideas for marketing campaigns. Demonstrated experience in developing and executing engaging marketing content.
- **Team Collaboration**: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as sales, product development, and design.
- **Customer Focus**: Understanding of customer needs and market trends, with the ability to develop and execute marketing plans that resonate with the target audience.
- **Adaptability and Time Management**: Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and industry trends with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results within budget constraints.

Toowoomba is one of Australia’s largest inland cities, with a population around 162,000 people. It is a beautiful provincial city and is known as “The Garden City” of Queensland. Toowoomba is ideally situated less than 1.5 hours by car from Brisbane and two hours from the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. Regional public transport is available with connections to interstate and international transport networks. This includes the Wellcamp Airport providing direct interstate flights.
