**THE ROLE**:
The role of the Tax Consultant is to support the tax team in identifying and solving issues with tax implications for clients. This role gathers information and data needed to prepare, submit and manage tax statements and returns for businesses and clients, as well as assisting in the provision of advice to clients.

The Tax Consultant reports into the Senior Manager (Tax Advisory) and works closely with the wider Tax team and Partner.

Day to day, your role will involve:

**Compliance**:

- Independently handle the preparation of tax provisions, tax return working papers, and client queries for various entities.
- Demonstrate understanding of tax return disclosure requirements, accurately completing complex tax return schedules, and autonomously communicating with clients regarding tax issues and compliance matters.

- Engage in technical training preparation and sessions with effective communication and presentation skills.

**WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR**:

- 1-4 years’ broad Australian tax experience e.g. income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or a similar field)
- Tax effect accounting experience
- Eligibility to enrol in or already studying CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent)
