About the Alumni & Philanthropy Office

The Alumni & Philanthropy Office has five exciting new opportunities, sparked by the recent appointment of the dynamic new Director at the helm. As we embark on shaping the future of Alumni and Philanthropy at the university, you'll have the chance to be part of a dynamic team that guides, coordinates, and manages a range of philanthropic initiatives. From major and principal gifts, bequests, creative stewardship, annual/regular giving, capital campaigns and supporting philanthropic research. We are focused on strengthening our alumni engagement via expansion of our alumni networks and actively engaging our alumni and the broader community through innovative communication strategies, events, and engagement programs in preparation for our 50-year anniversary and beyond.

Your Role - Alumni Engagement Officer

Join the Alumni Engagement team in a crucial role as an Alumni Engagement Officer. This position plays a pivotal part in crafting and executing an alumni engagement strategy in collaboration with the team, aimed at fostering meaningful connections with alumni worldwide. Your responsibilities include coordinating various programs, events, reunions, and networks to strengthen alumni engagement while supporting philanthropic priorities.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the vibrant and global community of our alumni.

What you’ll bring to this role
- Qualifications in marketing, events management, or related fields, or equivalent experience in alumni engagement, fundraising, and/or industry engagement.
- Understanding of fundraising and alumni relations principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to lead meetings and engage diverse audiences.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, adept at handling multiple projects with attention to detail.
- Commitment to a service-oriented, solutions-focused approach, with CRM system experience.
