**About the Role**

As a Global Leader in material handling automation, Daifuku continues to experience rapid growth. The current opportunity is for an experienced Mechanical Technician to be part of our team responsible for smooth operating, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance schedules on the Material Handling System (MHS).

Being part of the Daifuku team at Erskine Park, Sydney, you will join a supportive, inclusive and knowledgeable team.

**Responsibilities will include**

Working on a rostered shift basis and as part of a collaborative team, you will be responsible for:

- Ensure that materials handling system and other onsite infrastructure is operational, and issues are rectified safely, quickly and efficiently.
- Performing diagnostic tests on the material handling systems.
- Following the mechanical maintenance plans to prevent equipment breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as perform the necessary repairs to restore to full functionality.
- Support the clearance of fault and materials jams.
- Utilise the maintenance schedule using our onsite Computerised Maintenance Management System (MEX).
- Record keeping in support of Materials Handling Systems activities

**About you**

You'll be looking to join a team that is invested in your success and your future. Your qualifications and experience will include
- Trade qualification in mechanical or related industry is essential.
- Experience in mechanical drives, including gearboxes, conveyor belting.
- Experience in pneumatics and Hydraulics including Solenoid Valves, cylinders and flow regulators.
- Have a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand mechanical assembly drawings.
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical engineering designs, installations, maintenance and repairs
- Sound technical understanding of automated control systems in a Materials Handling Systems (MHS) or high-speed processing environment advantage.
- Ability to work a rotating shift (Mon - Fri) 40 hours per week
