CSIRO have an exciting opportunity for a Risk, Compliance and Business Continuity (RCBC) Officer to join our team. The RCBC team seeks to provide confidence in the ability of CSIRO’s people, processes, and systems to deliver its objectives.

As the RCBC Officer, you will provide advice on risk, internal controls and processes at CSIRO, working with a range of key stakeholders, business unit staff and line areas. You’ll design and implement initiatives for proactive strategies aimed at detecting emerging risks and non-compliance.

**Your duties will include**:

- Working in a small team and working with business unit staff, key stakeholders, and line areas to provide advice on risk, internal controls, and processes.
- Establishing and maintaining effective and productive working relationships with members across the governance function to support and deliver broader enabling services.
- Ensuring risk, compliance and BC systems and data are appropriately managed in accordance with the organisations document management system.
- Assisting to provide assurance over the agency’s processes and controls.
- Providing advice on risk, compliance and BCP matters to CSIRO staff and managing the team inbox according to service delivery standards.
- Designing, implementing, and evaluating options and initiatives for proactive strategies aimed at detecting emerging risks, non-compliance.
- Ensuring BCP frameworks are appropriately implemented through ensuring the coordination of practical measures.
- Other duties as directed.

**Location**:Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Hobart.

**Salary**:AU$105k - AU$114k pa (pro-rata for part-time) plus up to 15.4% superannuation

**Tenure**:Indefinite, Full-time.

**To be considered you will need**:

- Governance, Risk, Compliance or Business Continuity training and/or qualifications or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Ability to work in a small team to provide the organisation governance services through the provision of timely advice, systems, guidance, and processes to CSIRO staff.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships, facilitate, and deliver workshops with staff across CSIRO and work in an advisory capacity to build governance capability.
- Proficiency at Microsoft Office suite to develop procedures, guidance and tools and ability to maintain records in accordance with CSIRO’s record keeping procedures.

**Desirable**:

- Experience and/or knowledge of digital solutions to manage risks.
