About us
The Department of Justice and Community Safety is responsible for the statutory supervision of young people in the criminal justice system.

The Expert Working Group is a partnership project between the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) and the Commission for Children and Young People (CCYP).
The Expert Working Group forms part of the roadmap set out in the Youth Justice Strategic Plan 2020-2030 (Strategic Plan) for reform of the Youth Justice system, with a specific focus on supporting culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) groups in Youth Justice. The initiatives in the Strategic Plan aim to prevent children and young people from entering the youth justice system and help address the underlying drivers of offending of those already in the system.

You will be flexible and adaptable to help meet the needs of the South Sudanese Australian community organisations to grow an effective South Sudanese Australian community services sector.
