Your role will include:
- Managing patient flow through theatres from Admissions to PACU in real time within the Perioperative Department and Theatre Floor- Daily and future planning and monitoring of patient flow activity.- Analysing performance and implementing change strategies to aid in optimising patient flow, and theatre utilisation.- Accountability for the implementation of continuous improvement programs where opportunities are identified.

The Position- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Theatre environment.- Work with Nurse Unit Manager and Coordinators to direct Caregivers and resources to optimise patient flow in real-time.- Will be responsible for adhering to KPI's to enhance optimisation and utilisation of theatre sessions to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness in our operations.- Work in collaboration with Theatre Bookings to manage the scheduling and resourcing of add-ons, urgent and emergency procedures- Act as a visible leader within Perioperative Services, maintaining strong relationships and modelling appropriate behaviour at all times.- Demonstrate both clinical and administrative leadership through effective communication, interpersonal skills, change management ability and the development of a high performance team that exhibits a culture of professional accountability and quality customer service.- Lead Caregivers to develop a culture of efficient service delivery and role model behavior to support this- Engage caregivers to ensure the efficient and effective management of all areas of responsibility.

You will have current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as Registered Nurse and extensive experience within the perioperative environment.

To succeed you will have strong critical thinking and demonstrated problem solving ability, including experience using data to analyse performance and resolve issues and flexibility to work morning and evening shifts Monday to Friday.
