**About the Position**
ALS Environmental operates a modern laboratory in Wangara that is equipped with the latest in analytical technology. We are currently seeking a
**Laboratory Technician**
**(Inorganics)** to become a part of a team that strives to exceed customer expectations by delivering quality results on time and by maintaining strong relationships with their clients.

The role will be responsible for the following:

- Preparation and analysis of water and soil samples.
- Ensuring that preparation and analytical procedures and associated tasks are conducted in accordance with ALS Quality Work Instructions (QWIs).
- Organising designated tasks to maximise daily efficiencies.
- Completing all tasks within both the timeframe set by the Supervisor and the relevant analysis standard.
- Performing Calculations as required when conducting analytical preparations.
- Undertaking consumable stocktakes and housekeeping duties for the tasks performed.
- Operation of sample preparation equipment.
- Highlighting anomalies in results and sample type/behaviour to section supervisor.
- Assisting in other duties as required.

**About you**
- Previous experience in a high throughput, client-focused environment, with preference given to those with previous commercial laboratory experience.
- High level of attention to detail, good communication and organisational skills.
- Understanding of good laboratory practices.
- Client Service and Safety Focused.
- Judgement and Problem-Solving Skills.
- Ability to work well autonomously or in a team environment.
- Good Chemical knowledge and safe handling procedures.
