We are looking to hire a motivated and team-oriented Finance Assistant to join our small team. This successful person will have a positive, can-do attitude, high levels of attention to detail and work closely with other team members to ensure that the daily bookkeeping and file maintenance are addressed for the business by providing timely important record upkeep.

This position has a focus on ensuring a high level of back-office service for our sales and service companies. It also includes participating in financial standard work including: bookings invoices, bank statement, travel expenses, control of balances, reconciling of balance accounts, contact with local team.

This position has become vacant because of an internal promotion.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Bank reconciliation
- Follow up with outstanding invoices with customers
- Perform and ensure the accuracy of AP tasks and closely monitor operating expense
- Manage the payment for staff reimbursement in cash and company credit card, based on the company policy
- Assist preparing auditing reports, support internal and external audit process
- Assist preparing financial report on month/quarter/year end
- Manage inter-company accounts
- General administrative tasks as required
- Posting bank statements
- Booking invoices
- Settlement and booking expense claims
- Payment transfers
- New vendor creation
- Reconciliation
- Confirmation of balances
- Providing all data to the month close with meeting deadlines
- Active participation preparing data to internal and external audits and Financial Statements
- Contact with local team
- Attend online training courses that are available.
- Highlight and discuss short and long-term training requirements with the Line Manager at regular reviews.
- Any other duty as required.

**a) Formal Education**
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance or accounting, or experience in accounting

**b) “Must Have” Competencies / Skills / Experience**
- Solid, hands-on experience and knowledge of accounting area, controls and ensuring documentation. Min. 1 year of the experience would be preferred
- Experience in working in a medium size finance department
- Knowledge of Australian Accounting
- Background or knowledge of Accounting, Controlling or Auditing
- Experience working with Lean will be an asset
- Have a motivated, committed and mature work ethic
- Sharp attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

**c) Language**
- Fluent English

**d) IT**:

- Microsoft Office including Excel as a minimum, at an intermediate level
- General experience with ERP-systems, Power BI, Axapta advantageous.

**e) Travel (required estimated % of time)**
- Minimal - less than 5% of time

The position offered is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement in which the employee can work some days at the Company location and some days remotely from their home (or another remote location within commutable distance to the Company location).
