As an **Employment Consultant** **in our Disability Employment Services** team, you will support our **Deaf Hard of Hearing Unit** and create opportunities for people with an injury, illness or disability to become work ready and find suitable and sustainable employment. You will enrich our customers’ lives by supporting them into long-term employment.

The role is permanent part-time, working 3 days a week.

**You will**:

- Develop rapport to understand your participants' needs, interests, skills and experience
- Increase your participants' employability through training and other support services
- Source employment opportunities through networking
- Build and maintain relationships with potential employers and community organisations
- Identify and assess barriers towards employment and create solutions to support them at work and ongoing
- Create job plans with the participant to support clear pathways into employment

- Strong understanding, knowledge and experience of the Deaf community and culture
- You will have proficient Auslan skills, along with experience actively supporting the deaf community
- Highly developed planning, coordination, and time management skills, along with attention to detail
- Computer literacy and the ability to learn new computer systems

- Full Australian working rights, ability to satisfy national police check and Working with Children Check requirements
