**The Role**:
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic HOPE Mental Health Clinician (Grade Two Occupational Therapist/Social Worker/Psychologist or Grade 3 registered Psychiatric Nurse) to join the HOPE Team within Northern Health’s Mental Health Division. Located in Pascoe Vale. This is a 12-month Maternity Leave fixed contract with the possibility to extend to a permanent position.
HOPE program is an exciting initiative working collaboratively with the Program Manager, clinicians, psychosocial support workers and Lived experience workforce alongside the HOPE Consultant.
The HOPE team is a supportive and dynamic team made up of staff that are truly passionate and motivated in supporting consumers and their families/carers. We provide a comprehensive range of specialist mental health services to people who reside in the local government areas of Moreland and Hume.
**To be successful in this role you will have**:
- The appropriate qualifications as a Grade 2 Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Grade 3 Registered Psychiatric Nurse.
- Passion about contributing positively to the lives of consumers with mental illness and their families
- Experience in the provision of Psychiatric assessment and intervention for consumers with a mental illness - preferably in a public mental health setting but this is not essential
- Ability to provide general and discipline specific mental health assessment and intervention
- Ability to work as part of a team but also able to work autonomously
