Manager - Subdivision & Development Certification

**About the Role**
We are seeking an experienced individual to lead and manage a range of technical planning, engineering and building certification services provided to the organisation & community with compliance to relevant legislation. This includes all activities related to Development Applications, Subdivision & Small Lot Housing Development including Subdivision Certificates. In this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing business strategies and budgets in relation to certification services and revenue/expenditure, respectively.
**What you will be doing**:
- Manage Development Applications for subdivision and small lot housing development
- Manage the assessment & determination of Construction & Complying Development Certificate Applications for Building & Subdivision works
- Managing post-consent certificates for subdivision work.
- Manage initial investigations of complaints regarding DA related land use & non-compliance with conditions of Development Consent.
- Oversee continual professional development of accredited certifiers within the team and ensuring maintenance of accreditation.
- Develop internal and external partnerships to promote council services.
- Coordinate projects and key initiatives to improve business and service delivery processes.
- Provide high level strategic or specialised advice to council and/or senior management.
**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Bachelors Degree Civil Engineering or Post Graduate qualifications in Local Government, Management, Local Government Engineering or similar related field plus service delivery, financial planning, workplace performance improvement and management experience
- NSW Drivers Licence - C Class
- White Card - General Construction Induction
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge & practices to lead, staff supervision & mentoring [5 -10 years] management in relation to Development Assessment, Certification processes & Council related activities
- Sound understanding & practical working knowledge of Local Government, Environmental Planning, Engineering & all relevant legislation practices & current issues [5 - 10 years].

Permanent full-time role, CN0021 Salary: Starting From $188K per annum inclusive of Superannuation + Car Allowance $27K (inclusive of Superannuation) + Civil Liability Allowance
