**The University of Adelaide is seeking a Research Officer to join the School of Agriculture, Food and Wine on a full-time, fixed term contract for 24 months.**

**The School of Agriculture, Food and Wine provides a world-class concentration of scientific research, education and infrastructure at the University of Adelaide’s Waite campus.**

We are seeking a motivated and experienced researcher who will be responsible for independently organising and implementing laboratory
- and field-based research, as well as independently organising, monitoring and analysing lab and field-based results.

**To be successful you will need**:
**Knowledge and Experience**:

- Demonstrated success in design and management of laboratory experiments.
- Demonstrated interpretation and analysis of data for report and publication writing.
- Excellent communication skills, as evidenced through report writing and delivery of presentations.
- Effective time management in working with complex projects with multiple outcomes.
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal skills in working with individuals from a diversity of cultures.
- Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
- (Desirable) An understanding of Australian low to medium rainfall crop and pasture systems.

**Qualification/s**:

- Bachelor degree in Sciences or Agricultural Sciences (or related discipline) with relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education/training/experience
- A current drivers’ licence.
