We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Quality Technician within our Maritime Australia based in SA-Osborne Naval Shipyard.

**Your new role**:
As the Quality Technician you will be working as part of a team to provide support to the delivery of a broad range of planned quality activities designed to provide assurance to management that quality practices are being effectively deployed across the project and line of business. In terms of specific responsibilities, you will:

- Support the Quality Control Engineers in the creation and development inspection and test hold points associated forms and records for all technical disciplines such as electrical, welding and paint
- interpret the specifications and LR rules to ensure all build assurance requirements have associated inspection and test events
- Work with the QC Engineers and Inspectors to ensure all work performed and the associated work packages and Job Cards are completed and are compliant with the workmanship standard and specifications
- Ensure data and information is accurate, current and timely and confirm that all preventative and scheduled maintenance activities are completed
- Provide feedback into the program where specifications are unclear or unattainable

**About you**:
**As an applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**:

- An eye for detail with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good communication skills to all levels
- Strong problem-solving skills using systematic process control techniques
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 Standards (desired)

**Clearances**:
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
