Hume City Council has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Hume Libraries team. Hume Libraries are one of Victoria's most progressive and innovative public libraries.

As the Library Operations, Engagement and Support Officer, you will be responsible for various service-wide support functions, such as: developing and communicating work rosters; recommending and developing library procedures; coordinating and facilitating professional development and training for staff; and supervising financial administration duties. You will be the point of contact for all staff regarding rosters, timesheets, training, and administration support. Additionally, you will undertake rostered customer service shifts across Hume Libraries branches, providing supervision to staff in the delivery of excellent customer service to the community.

**About You**

As a Library Operations, Engagement and Support Officer who is passionate about delivering high-quality services your responsibility/qualifications and expertise will include but not limited to:

- Graduate Diploma in Information Management or equivalent or relevant experience and work skills commensurate with the work outlined in this position description.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills including the ability to gain cooperation from and communicate with a broad range of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, develop and communicate complex daily rosters across multiple sites.
- Experience in financial administration duties (including purchasing, invoice processing & payment reconciliation in line with procurement procedures).
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and complete work to a high standard, within set timelines and with competing priorities.
- The ability to provide employees with supervision, guidance and on-the-job training.
- Ability to implement personnel practices including those relevant to EEO, WHS and training and development.
- Current Driver's Licence
- Public Library experience an advantage.

You will be flexible, passionate, and innovative with well-developed communication skills. Your excellent time-management skills, attention to detail and enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced team environment will be essential to this role.
