The Therapy Assistant will be an integral part of the Aask Therapy team. The role involves:

- Implementing fun and effective speech therapy sessions under the supervision of Speech Pathologist
- Support the team in administering formal and informal communication
- Supporting the children to use their communication devices (AAC) in everyday situations (play, mealtimes, transitions etc)
- Implement evidence-based literacy programs under the supervision of the Speech Pathologist
- Working in the community.
- Prepare and create therapy resources.

We are looking for the following from our Therapy Assistant (Speech Pathology):

- Certificate 4 Allied Health Assistant - Speech Pathology
- A Speech therapy student in their 4th year or in second year of Masters are welcome to apply.
- Current Practicing Member of Speech Pathology Australia
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience working with children/disability or other health related experience.
- Overseas graduates welcome to apply.
- Experience in working with children with additional needs
- Experience/ strong interest in AAC, feeding, Developmental Disabilities and/or literacy
- An understanding of Positive Behavior Support.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

**Salary**: $30.00 per hour plus $30 for travel allowance will be paid

**Job Type**: Subcontract

**Salary**: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
