We currently have an opportunity for a Therapy Assistant to join our team of professionals at our mobile therapy service, on a casual basis, to provide support and be an integral part of our inter-disciplinary team. We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver an optimum level of quality care on a holistic level.

As a Therapy Assistant you will be responsible for conducting exercise classes in the clients own home in consultation with the Occupational therapist, report changes in the consumer's conditions that affect their health, comfort, safety and the performance of their functional programs. You will utilize your background working within allied health and rehabilitation to both contribute and support the lead allied health professionals within your department.

Essential Criteria:
Role involves working within community setting and treating clients at their homes

Effective teamwork and communication skills

Demonstrated experience in leading exercise classes

Ability to work in both a fast-paced environment while maintaining accurate documentation skills.

Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to form a strong rapport and relationship with consumers and staff

Display a high level of initiative and take pride in promoting mobility with your consumers

Overseas graduates welcome to apply.

3rd and 4th year Occupational therapy students welcome to apply.

Proficient computer skills

NSW driver’s license or other license eligibility to drive in NSW.

Desirable Criteria:
Experience in assessment of clinical outcome measurement.

Working knowledge of manual handling and Work Health & Safety.

Certificate III and IV in allied health assistant or 3rd/4th year Occupational therapy students is preferable
