Purpose:
Supporting the Head of People and Culture to deliver a range of HR initiatives for the Australian business. This is a generalist role covering all aspects of HR, with a primary focus on Talent and Development.

**Responsibilities**:

- Partner with the business to provide advice to employees and managers on a range of HR related issues including employment relations, leadership development, training, and development and performance management to help drive performance and engagement.
- Support recruitment processes including direct recruitment as well as engaging with preferred recruitment agencies
- Scope and predict the business talent needs and build strategy to attract and retain quality talent
- Develop EVP and increase social media and direct recruitment activity
- Enhance recruitment processes including onboarding and employee experience
- Lead the annual global talent and succession processes for Australia
- Lead external talent pipeline / graduate and internship options (including Future IM/Pact partnership)
- Consult with leaders and employees on development needs including sourcing vendor relationships
- Work with regional and global HR teams to leverage skills, activities and projects that have local relevance. Be the key Australian contact for Talent and Development within the wider Schroders group
- Work across the wider group to identify development opportunities suitable for Australian employees and tailor for local delivery where required
- Review and update HR policies and procedures from time to time to enhance best practice and legislative and company compliance obligations are met
- Conduct exit interviews for departing employees and provide insights to the relevant stakeholders
- Deliver a range of HR projects and initiatives for Australia and support global projects when required

Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within Human Resources, ideally within the financial / professional services industry
- Specific exposure to the recruitment or L&D space through their work history

Knowledge and Skills
- Problem solving skills
- Proven generalist HR knowledge and experience within the Funds Management or Financial Services Industry
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good attention to detail, ensuring all work is carried out promptly and efficiently.
- Communicates effectively with all levels across the business
- Develops and maintains good relationships with employees across the business and relevant stakeholders
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills

Education
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or associated study.
