**Your Opportunity**

Our Training Planning & Scheduling team has an exciting opportunity for a Training Scheduler to join them on a fixed-term basis until 5th April 2024.

In consultation with business schedulers/supervisors, you will schedule and coordinate the delivery of training and learning solutions for the delegated business area or client group. Typically this will involve scheduling Workplace Health & Safety (WHS), First Aid and Rail Safety training for the SEQ Assets and Regional businesses.

**Position responsibilities**:

- Proactively liaise with managers and supervisors to plan, schedule and coordinate training to meet the learning/competency requirements as identified through compliance reports, workgroup profiles, and position descriptions, etc.
- Schedule and administer training courses and learning activities in the Learning Management System (LMS) and any relevant planning tools.
- Support the Team Leader in the development of Business Area Training Plans and the Network Training Calendar.
- Updating the Learning Management System and building the Network Training Calendar in accordance with training scheduling tools.
- Provide input and make recommendations regarding the timing of learning events to support the creation of 12-month training plans for business areas.
Monitor adherence to training plans, schedules and processes and address gaps or issues with relevant managers/supervisors.
- Provide advice and guidance to Team Leaders, Schedulers or relevant business stakeholders regarding the planning and coordination processes for training, assessments and learning activities.
Update and maintain records in LMS to ensure training and competency activities are accurate and reportable.
- Ensure all enquiries are appropriately actioned when triaged from the Network Learning Delivery inbox.
- Undertake other team support activities as directed by the Team Leader.

Applicants with previous training scheduling experience within a complex operational organisation would be highly regarded, while your excellent time management and customer service skills will be vital in helping you thrive in the role. Previous experience using a learning management system would be advantageous but not essential.

**Key selection criteria**:

- High level of planning, administration and coordination skills
- High level of interpersonal, oral and written communication, with an ability to liaise confidently and comfortably with management teams and Committees.
- Extensive knowledge in LMS (or similar) to schedule and manage training activities.
High level of customer service skills.
- High level of skill in developing learning schedules and plans.
- Sound level of skill in proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Knowledge of and willingness to commit to and work within Queensland Rail's Values and Behaviours.
