Our client is a well-established manufacturing company. They are recognised for their excellence and knowledge in the manufacturing industry and stride to be the leader. They are committed in supporting their clients to ensure their requirements and expectations are met.
They are now seeking a full-time Assistant Scheduler to join the team in their Brisbane Head Office
**About The Opportunity**
The Assistant Scheduler is a key part of the team, you will play a crucial role in helping the scheduling department run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform systems transactions in ERP system:
- Update delivery dates
- Input labour
- Receive finished goods
- Create production work orders based on schedules
- Print drawings
- Assist with production schedules with guidance from the Production Scheduler and Supervisors using engineering drawings and production specifications
- Monitor production activity and progress to ensure materials, sub-assemblies and finished goods are progressing according to the plan; highlight areas of concern for resolution with the team
- Coordinate schedule changes due to production problems, design changes, or shortages
- Assist with evaluating production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and labour force requirements
- General administrative work as required
- Conduct cycle counts
**About You**
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience required
- 1+ years’ experience in a supply chain/manufacturing production environment
- Superior Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
- Excellent computer skills in general, able to quickly learn and use ERP system
- Experience with Epicor will be advantageous
- Good interpersonal skills, teamwork orientation
- Good communication skills
- Analytical and well-organized
- Knowledge and experience using continuous improvement concepts
- Must have Australian Work Rights.
