Who we are

The Afterlee ecovillage is a visionary project which aims to tackle several societal issues related to housing, education, mental health, food production, and resilience. With anywhere from 30 to 60 members in our co-op, including 7 directors, and 2 contractors leading the way, effective management is crucial for our success.

Co-Operative Manager

Healthy Living Community Co-operative (Afterlee Eco Village) is seeking a Co-operative Manager with project management skills to support us to take our organisation to the next level.

With our community buzzing and growing, we're seeking a proactive manager to help keep things organized and on track. We need someone who can streamline our processes, build structure, and ensure we're moving forward efficiently. You'll be working closely with us and our partners to make sure we're all on the same page and making things happen The main tasks you will take on are:

- Management and Supervision of members, contractors and facilities
- Planning, scheduling, and following-up
- Further Board Relations
- Secretarial duties for the Co-operative
- Member and External relationship management

Desired Skills
- Relevant degree (Business Management or similar) and more than 5 years experience in either business, co-operative, association or government management.
- Excellent leadership and management skills including a strong ability to take initiative, and work in a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Dedicated work ethic with personal and professional integrity.
- Thorough knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire an understanding of the cooperative model.
- Proven history of successful project management.
- Experience with intentional communities, ecovillages or similar would be preferable.

Desired Qualifications
- Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding Co-operative National Law, Regulations and related standard practices.

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: $4,800.00 - $6,000.00 per month
