**We are looking for**:
Byron Shire Council is currently seeking a Project Officer - Strategic Change. This role is a great opportunity to optimise asset utilisation of Council’s community facilities. Within this term-limited role the position will:

- Design and implement a facilities management strategic review and change process for Council facilities currently managed by section 355 committees (the Project), and
- Support the ongoing Asset Sponsor function for community buildings through practical support to the Manager Social & Cultural Planning.

In carrying out the Project and ongoing operational functions, the position will analyse information, carry out consultation, identify options, gain authorisation, and implement actions and changes with a range of stakeholders.

**About you**:

- Has tertiary qualifications in discipline relevant to the position (for example, asset management, business administration, public administration, program evaluation) or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Minimum of four (4) years project management or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience, skills, and knowledge in facility management and/or change management in a public sector context.
- Expertise in the collection and analysis of credible information (quantitative and qualitative data) including financial information.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound recommendations and take follow up actions that are aligned with better practices, relevant legislation and guidelines, and stakeholder input
- Demonstrated ability to foster strong relationships with community, staff, and relevant stakeholders

**We offer**:

- An 18 month Term, part time position (4 days per week (28 hours)).

- Salary and Conditions will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award with an appointment at a salary in the range of Grade 9 $1,515.10 to $1,755.47 per 35 hour week dependent upon skills and experience and pro-rated for part-time hours ($79,088- $91,636 per annum full time equivalent).

**Location**:
This position is based at Mullumbimby however Council can require you to work from other work sites as required for operational reasons.
