**We are looking for**:
Byron Shire Council is currently seeking a Support Officer. This role is a great opportunity to provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Social and Cultural Planning Team across a variety of portfolios including community development, disaster recovery, and homelessness.

**About you**:

- Certificate of Attainment in Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience in an administration role.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with management, staff and the community in a professional manner.
- Well-developed organisation skills and ability to plan and prioritise multiple projects while consistently meeting agreed timeframes
- Ability to self-manage workload and adjust work priorities as needed to support the objectives of the team
- Great interpersonal skills and ability to provide excellent customer service and deliver quality service outcomes as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to use critical thinking to analyse and problem-solve.
- Demonstrated computer literacy, with experience in the MS Office suite of software (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), content management systems and other software to ensure efficient and high impact communications

**We offer**:

- A permanent part-time position - 4 days a week (28 hours)
- Flexible working arrangements
- Salary and Conditions will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award with an appointment at a salary in the range of $1,211.50 to $1,403.70 per 35 hour week (dependent upon skills and experience)

**Location**:
This position is based at Mullumbimby, however Council can require you to work from other work sites as required for operational reasons.
