Position Summary

The AIHW are seeking an Executive Assistant to support AIHW’s Senior Executive (SES Band 1 - Group Head)

and the functions of the Data Governance & Integration Group. As an Executive Assistant (EA) at the AIHW

you will be enthusiastic, self-driven and proactive. You will have exceptional organisational and

communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain key relationships with a range of internal and

external stakeholders.

Under general direction you will:
inbox management and support to assist them with managing competing priorities.
- Undertake administrative tasks such as organise travel arrangements, financial reconciliation of

credit cards, invoice acquittals and support procurement activities.
- Undertake secretariat duties including scheduling meetings, taking minutes and preparing

meeting papers, reports, briefs and other relevant documentation for various committees and

forums.
- Support the Information Management Practices of the Group.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of your Group Head, and the wider

Group.
- Work collaboratively with other Executive Assistants and the broader AIHW business areas.
- Strive for continuous improvement of the Group Head’s office performance by using efficient and

practical administration processes and systems.

Selection Criteria

1. Demonstrated organisational and problems-solving skills, including the ability to prioritise one’s

workload and escalate issues when required.

2. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain working relationships with

stakeholders at all levels, and work within and contribute to, a team.

3. Experience in providing administrative support including coordinating meetings with various teams,

taking minutes, and preparing project documentation.

4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a range

of internal and external stakeholders.

5. Sound judgement, integrity and discretion, including the ability to maintain confidentiality and

privacy.
