**Lead the change, from the frontline**

Based in
**Melbourne**, the
**Metering Operations Specialist** is a key member of the Commercial Team. The role will work closely with the Billing and Metering Operations Lead and third-party service providers ensuring the delivery of timely and accurate processing of all inbound and outbound metering service orders transactions back to the market in line with market, regulatory and customer service level obligations.

The responsibilities also include changes requests, service order management, adherence to metering installation timeframe rules, MSATS updates to NMI standing data such as metering and tariff updates and the overall customer metering experience.

With respect, honesty and integrity you will:

- Ensure the delivery of metering processes for electricity and gas in accordance with Powershop guidelines, as well as market rules and procedures.
- Work with service providers to deliver on agreed targets and service levels, escalating where required through established governance frameworks.
- Provide guidance on key metering processes & outcomes and act as an escalation point.
- Manage & resolve complex metering related issues.
- Document business rules and business processes to ensure consistency in delivery by third parties.
- Proactively monitor the unactioned service order requests and escalation management
- Make recommendations on business improvements and implement necessary day to day operational changes to support.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on supporting processes that enhance customer experience and reduce operational costs.
- Liaise and engage distributors and metering service providers.

**What you’ll bring**

Here’s what you’ll need to thrive in this role:

- Proven energy industry experience working within the residential/SME market. This can be in a customer service centre or within a metering operations team.
- Excellent understanding of metering process as per AEMO B2B procedures gained either via working in a customer service environment or within a metering operations team.
- Demonstrated ability to document processes and identify failure points.
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Advanced MS excel, MS Word,
- Exposure to billing and meter data processes will be advantageous.
