**About the Nutrition and Dietetics Department**

Our department is a vibrant and fast-paced environment with a team of 42 staff (34 EFT) across three sites.? We function as one department and work in a supportive and friendly environment.? We provide service to inpatients, outpatients and home/community programs, spanning acute care, sub-acute care and rehabilitation.

Our Dietitians are experts in medical nutrition therapy across a range of clinical specialties and we are organised into clinical streams: specialist medicine, ICU/surgical/gastro, oncology, paediatrics and mental health, sub-acute & rehab. Other key activities include staff education and development, student training, quality improvement, research and food service.

**About the role**:
This position will be based on our acute site and will work as part of our Surgical stream. Primary clinical work areas for this position will include upper gastrointestinal surgery, liver transplant and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), with work allocation outside of these areas delegated according to acute site demand and operational need.

**About you**:
You will have:

- Sound clinical nutrition knowledge in upper GI surg, liver disease and IBD
- Good organisational skills, efficient workload management and ability to prioritise.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective counselling skills and commitment to patient-centred care.
- A sound understanding of information technology including clinical systems.
