**About the role**

John Fawkner Private Hospital is currently seeking an experienced Dietitian to join our Allied Health team on a casual basis across Monday - Friday. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to experience a varied caseload including gastrointestinal surgery, oncology, haematology, general medical, ICU, cardiac and orthopaedics and work as part of a strong and encouraging multidisciplinary team.

John Fawkner Private Hospital is located in the north-west suburbs of Melbourne. With 186 registered beds, an emergency department, 5 operating theatres, 12 bed Critical Care Complex and a busy day surgery/endoscopy unit the hospital provides a wide range of services to its community.

The hospital specialises in orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, oncology, cardiology, urology, plastic surgery, ENT and gynaecology.

**As a Dietitian your responsibilities will include**:

- Providing evidence-based nutritional assessment and management of patients
- Demonstrating sound clinical reasoning and best practice dietary prescription
- Contributing to the multidisciplinary care of our patients
- Involvement with inpatient services

**Essential Criteria**:

- Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent)
- Current member or be eligible for membership with Dietitian Association of Australia
- Minimum 3 years’ acute hospital experience
- Exceptional time management and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Proven excellence in customer service delivery
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to ongoing education and the provision of evidence based practice
- Authority to Work in Australia
