**About the Role**
- The position involves working **4 days a week**, with flexible scheduling.
- This opportunity is **ideal for a versatile handyman** with well-honed **general maintenance skills, encompassing plumbing, carpentry and electrical expertise**, and the capability to efficiently complete minor repairs
- You will be responsible for **variety/diverse hospital maintenance tasks**, ensuring that contractor services align with legislative standards, corporate policies and the approved hospital budgets.
- As a key member, you will take on the responsibility of maintaining hospital facilities, ensuring compliance with standards and corporate policies.
- This role involves directing maintenance contractors, contributing to capital projects, participating in after-hours on-call service, and staying up-to-date with all maintenance duties.
- Working independently, you will report to and fulfill duties as requested by the Network Facilities Manager.

**You will also bring**:
- Essential Mechanical or Building Relevant Trades qualification (preference for Building or Mechanical Services HVAC trades)
- Participation in an on-call roster
- Accountable with a supportive and engaging style
- Proven track record in commercial facility maintenance
- Capability and willingness to confidently work across various trade areas
- Supervision experience in external contractor
- Good level of computer literacy skills
- Experience in and ongoing commitment to Quality Improvement principles
- Up-to-date knowledge of best practice in building maintenance and healthcare compliance
- Experience in and **ongoing commitment to Quality and WHS Improvement principles**:
- Hold a valid Victorian Driver’s Licence (essential)
Desirable:
- Previous experience in hospital maintenance
- Mechanical / Building services experience/qualification.
**Remuneration**:Salary commensurate with experience.
