**The importance of this role**

Take the chance to challenge yourself and get creative as you lead, manage and add your own spark to the culture of our Chesterville Retirement Community.

Reporting to the Regional Manager Retirement Living, you will manage retirement village operations of our 50-unit Chesterville Retirement Village in Cheltenham. Your major focus will be to coordinate the retirement village's operations encompassing resident outcomes, sales, asset management and staffing activities, all within budgetary constraints. You will also be working closely with the Retirement Living Management team to promote the retirement living lifestyle, facilitating timely unit vacancy turnovers and refurbishments.

You will pride yourself on customer service and promoting the safety, security, optimal health and wellbeing of residents. Hence, you will develop strategies to address identified needs of our residents and ensure their rights are always maintained. Welcoming your knowledge and experience, you will provide leadership to the team and are responsible for all aspects of workforce management. You will also negotiate with contractors for a wide range of services. You'll be backed by a highly skilled and committed leadership team in Victoria.

This permanent, part-time management opportunity offers you great work life balance with the opportunity to work within school hours from 9 AM to 2.30 PM, Monday to Friday.

**What you can bring to the team**

You are a dynamic, confident manager who thrives on making a difference in the lives of seniors. Due to your exceptional negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills you easily engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Well-developed prioritisation, leadership and problem-solving skills are some of your strengths. As a self-starter you can take ownership of multiple tasks without being micro-managed. You will have the demonstrated ability to identify stakeholder requirements, alter services in response to identified needs, and evaluate satisfaction.

Ideally you will have:

- Solid experience at a site operational level within a customer driven environment, ideally within the retirement living, business, hospitality, finance, property management, health or related sectors;
- Qualifications in management or equivalent;
- Experience in sales, marketing and/or communications is a benefit, however, not essential;
- National Police and Personal Insolvency Check.

Importantly, you will be someone who closely aligns with our organisational values of: Unconditional Love, Continual Innovation, Mutual Trust, Wise Stewardship and Safety.
- Under Churches of Christ policy and/or the applicable public health directions, team members are required to be vaccinated for Covid-19. As part of the recruitment processes we ask that you provide evidence that your vaccination meets the requirements of Churches of Christ policy or the applicable public health direction._
