**About the Role**
Join the BOQ Group Technology Team as we embark an exciting digital transformation to make BOQ the digital bank of the future. We have recently announced our partnership with Microsoft and are running a large tech transformation involving major cloud projects.

In this senior leadership role, you will oversee our digital workplace, infrastructure, and cloud operations teams and service providers. This includes running the desktop computing environment, managing the equipment and software used by all employees, and ensuring service excellence.

Your team provides infrastructure expertise for traditional systems and for new cloud capabilities implemented by our transformation project. You will provide technical leadership for support specialists, analysts, and engineers for both business-as-usual and project activities. A key accountability is ensuring our infrastructure capabilities evolve to support the cloud environment delivered by our Microsoft transformation project.

Your success in the role will result in strong operational processes, a well-designed workforce, and project prioritisation that underpins key business requirements.

**About you**
- **Cloud Infrastructure Experience - proven experience migrating systems to the cloud, managing cloud infrastructure, controlling costs and securing vendor platforms.**:

- **Infrastructure Architect** - 8+ years of experience in Infrastructure architecting, software engineering and industry exposure to Financial Services/ Banking industry. Technical experience around DCO - Server, Network, Storage, Database AND Workplace services - SCCM, Packaging & Deployment, Citrix, Remote Desktop Support, ITIL process and Service Desk is preferable
- **Experience developing and leading Enterprise Architectures** - for complex solutions, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both external, and internal customers.
- **Strong foundational Enterprise Architecture knowledge -** in relevant policies and strategies for the selection of solution architecture components, and co-ordinates design activities, promoting the discipline to ensure consistency.
- **Experience in provision of comprehensive guidance -** on the development of, and modifications to, solution components to ensure that they take account of relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards, practices and that existing and planned solution components remain compatible.
- **Experience in leading Technology teams** - that deliver consistent, timely and high-quality initiatives, to demonstrate high levels of initiatives, with a natural sense of urgency to deliver outstanding customer experiences

Functional & Technical

**Problem solving **- Solves issues by making decisions based on facts, knowledge, experience & judgement; Selects and acts on a course of action which balances business and individual needs

***Cloud Services, Operations and Management**
- In depth knowledge and experience working with the cloud services domain, with expertise in designing and deploying cloud storage solutions, advanced knowledge of EKS, and knowledgeable in RDS and database deployments.
- 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, system administration, network (Advanced understanding of concepts and technologies) and cloud security.

***Cloud Technical Knowledge**
- Infrastructure-as-Code and config management e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, CloudFormation experience with AWS infrastructure.
- Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of cloud-based systems.
- Broad-based IT Infrastructure knowledge and experience in at least one technical domain (AWS IaaS/PaaS, Networking, Server/Storage, Databases, Citrix Hosting, etc.)

***IT Infrastructure & Environment Management**
- Knowledge and expertise in the operation and control of IT infrastructure (Comprising of physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage) either on-premises or provisioned as cloud services, that is required to deliver and support the core systems platforms of an organisation.
- A foundational knowledge in technical skills such as in Microsoft Office 365, Azure, Exchange, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, Citrix, VPN and RDS (desirable)
