**Selection Criteria**:
SC1 Demonstrated ability to tutor small groups and individual students in an instrumental program using a range of musical instruments in Percussion, Bass and Guitar.

SC2 Demonstrated commitment and capacity to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities and a capacity to reflect on, evaluate and improve professional knowledge and practice.

SC3 Demonstrated capacity to monitor and assess student learning data and to use this data to inform teaching for improved student learning.

SC4 Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills and high level interpersonal skills including a capacity to develop constructive relationships with students, parents and other staff.

**Role**:
The primary focus of the Instrumental Tutor is to:

- tutor small groups of students and individual students and prepare for exams
- contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the music program within the school
- undertaking other classroom related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal and the Instrumental Music Coordinator
- participating in activities such as lunch time rehearsals, Student Led Conferences; staff meetings
- additonal attendance is not required during the term breaks
- attending school events such as:
Presentation Night

End of Year Concert

Acoustic Nights

**Responsibilities**:
Tutoring the Instrumental Music program
- Monitoring, evaluating and reporting student progress
- Implementing strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes
- Maintaining records of class attendance and recording student progress
- Implementing effective student management
- Working with a mentor to participate in professional development planning, implementation and reflection developing a professional portfolio
- Contributing to a range of extra-curricular programs
