About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager based in Melbourne, to drive the development of our current business and help grow new markets we are entering.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the main responsibilities of the role include:

- Identify and convert new business opportunities for Ingredients in the Victorian and South Australian territories. Some travel may be required to other states
- Develop and implement detailed sales strategies
- Proactively engage with current and new customers to conclude new commercial supply agreements through all available channels
- Prepare and conduct presentations and negotiations with prospective customers
- Obtain market intelligence from customers to help define the opportunity pipeline and future product portfolio.
- Development of national Customers with strong NPD pipeline
- Identify and partner in NPD with all customers
- Assist Procurement Team in evaluating quality suppliers and ingredients that will meet the Value Addition criteria

**About You**:
Working with both established customers and customer prospects you will use your experience and negotiation skills to grow the sales of ingredients to leading brand owners, contract manufacturers and NPD companies within the VIC and SA territories.
Your energy and vision will be complemented by an appropriate background in both sales experience and tertiary qualifications (Degree level preferred), ideally in Food Sciences or related disciplines. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical markets would also be desirable, but not essential.
You will be completely at ease in presenting new ingredient concepts to customers and in negotiating and closing new supply agreements and contracts. You will demonstrate a strong commercial acumen as well as be able to discuss technical selling points of products.
This role will suit an individual who is able to manage a Business Territory. You will be a self-starter, highly motivated and well-organised individual that is able to work and grow a sales territory independently.
You will use your knowledge of the market to identify market trends and drive the product portfolio forward with new and innovative raw materials, in line with customer demands. Your intimate understanding of ingredient trends will help to drive the Territory forward to achieve its ambitious growth strategy.
