**Nursing Unit Manager - Ward 3B, General Surgery**
This is an exciting professional development opportunity for a Registered Nurse looking for career progression.
The General Surgical ward, Ward 3B is looking for a suitably qualified Registered Nurse to join their team as the Nurse Unit Manager. The position is being offered on a temporary full-time basis until December 2023.

**Where you'll be working**
Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital
You will be working on a 28 bed acute surgical ward, from a number of surgical specialties including general surgical, vascular, plastics and gynecology.
**What you'll be doing**
The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) will manage a unit or ward in order to provide a quality standard of care to NSLHD Patients.

- Registered Nurse-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) and Relevant management tertiary qualification OR equivalent work experience, OR a combination of study and work experience; and demonstrated commitment to professional development.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and support a clinical team.
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Applications, roster management systems and electronic medical records.
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in change management and initiating a new service delivery model within an established service.
- Evidence of and commitment to patient/customer focussed care, clinical governance and quality improvement.
