SEO Specialist

**About this role**

In the span of two years, the SOD SEO team has grown from one individual to what is currently a team of five. With a steady stream of new, exciting projects coming in, we are looking to bring in an SEO Lead to hit the ground running with SEO strategy and implementation, team management, and guide the overall SEO methodology in the agency. Enjoy an early 1pm finish every Friday and a flexible working environment where you choose your desired home vs office split. **We are looking for**:

- Minimum Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business
- 5+ years experience in digital marketing
- Proven experience with planning SEO strategies which lead to organic growth and revenue
- Familiar with SEO and web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Ahrefs
- Conducting thorough website audits and keyword research to identify optimisation opportunities and target audience intent.
- Strong understanding of on-page and off page SEO techniques
- Experience in leading a team
- Experience advising executives and clients on SEO strategies and campaigns to reach target markets
- Ability to keep on top of market trends and latest SEO updates to ensure compliance and leverage emerging opportunities.

**If you were working in this role last week, you may have**:

- Presented your SEO strategy to a new client and communicated the findings and recommendations in layperson's terms
- Worked closely with our UX team to design a high-converting landing page that factors in SEO insights and ultimately satisfies user intent and generates conversions
- Briefed our developers on a series of required technical updates to ensure crawlability of paginated URLs on a JavaScript-heavy eCommerce site
- Had a one-on-one with one of our Junior SEOs to help answer questions and further their professional development
- Ran daily and weekly WIPS with the SEO team to foster healthy learning and conversation
- Published a super high-quality article after briefing one of our copywriters on what exactly is required to outrank our client's competitors
- Listened to a relevant podcast and reported back to the team on key learnings and things we can incorporate into our SEO service to make sure we're always on the cutting edge

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor degree or higher qualification.
- Minimum proven experience of 2 years with demonstrated relevant experience within the digital marketing sector.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create reports, briefings and presentations externally and internally.
- Proven experience in design and strategic planning to deliver digital content, social media campaigns and blog articles.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills and communication with stake holders.
- Valid Australian Driver’s License.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
