**ABOUT US**

The Professional Experience Office (PEX Office) sits within our National School of Education and is a critical component of the academic work that student teachers undertake as part of their studies. The primary function of the PEX Office is to oversee all Professional Experience courses/placements.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Professional Experience Coordinator (PEX Coordinator) reports to the Academic Lead - Professional Experience and Engagement and is responsible for providing advice and administrative support with the placement process for the Professional Experience Program in Western Australia.

In this role, you will:

- Provide high level support in coordinating the University/ School partnerships, including establishing and fostering positive relationships with staff responsible for pre-service teachers
- Build new and productive relationships with schools/centres in relation to the placement of students for Professional Experience
- Strive for excellence and consult regularly with stakeholders to clarify criteria for success and where and when advice and recommendation is required
- Communicate with confidence using examples and the most appropriate influencing technique for a given situation to increase understanding and support
- Contribute to team effectiveness and the team environment

**ABOUT YOU**
- Completion of a degree with subsequent experience OR extensive experience in a relevant discipline
- Experience in a similar Professional Experience position, with demonstrated capability to build and maintain partnerships with Schools and Early Learning providers across WA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of people
- Proven initiative, organisational and attention to detail skills with the demonstrated ability to meet competing deadlines
