**TAC Disability Support Worker - Casual**
- Ability Plus Disability Services specializes in the provision of client-centered in home care and community-based services throughout Victoria. Our clients require support staff to assist them in home as well as within the community where required. We are looking for support workers who are passionate about providing high quality care, can be reliable and flexible, have an empathetic nature and a desire to engage people._

- **The role may involve**:_
- _Assistance with community access and recreational activities_
- _Personal Care (showering, dressing, bowel care and toileting)_
- _Manual Handling and/or the use of equipment to support mobility such as wheelchairs and hoists_
- _Physical Therapy/Hydro support_
- _Transportation and supporting social engagement_
- _Light domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning._
- _A genuine interest in the wellbeing and inclusion of people with disabilities_
- _Are a clear and strong communicator, both written and verbally_
- _Live locally and have flexibility with their schedule_
- _Professional or lived experience supporting someone with a disability._
- _Experience supporting people with Mental Health and Complex Behaviors_
- _Highly desirable but not essential: High care knowledge and experience including catheter care, bowel care (suppository and/or enema), personal care, hoisting/client transfers, and PEG feeding._

- **Mandatory requirements**:_
- _The legal right to work in Australia_
- _NDIS Worker Screening Check_
- _Current First Aid (Valid for three years) and CPR (Valid for 12 months)_
- _Current Working with Children's Check_
- _Related Qualifications (eg: Certificate in Disability, Aged Care and/or Home and Community Care)_
- _License and own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance (for Community Access)_
