Male Disability Support Worker

The Independent Living Victoria team share and believe that the most important goal is to ensure our clients receive the best high-quality care and value available. It is important for all our care staff to demonstrate reliability and commitment as our clients rely heavily on them to assist them with daily tasks and activities.

**The role may involve**:
- Personal care (showering, toileting, and personal hygiene assistance)
- Bowel and Catheter Care
- Manual handling and/or the use of equipment to support mobility (wheelchairs or hoists)
- Professional or lived experience supporting someone with a disability
- Flexible and good availability
**Essential criteria**:
- An understanding of the disability/community services sector and person
- centered support
- Transferable life/work skills along with a caring and compassionate approach
- Personal Hygiene, Bowel Care, Catheter Care and Hoist experience
- A valid driver's license
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- The legal right to work in Australia
- Current Police Check
- Current CPR & First Aid certificate or willing to obtain
- Excellent communication skills
- A genuine interest in the wellbeing & inclusion of people with disabilities
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: From $34.00 per hour
