Easy Authoring is seeking an experienced Leader Strategic Priorities to drive the development of future strategic priorities with a Government Department that in time will be developed into major programs of work.

**Purpose of the role**:
The Leader, Strategic Priorities drive the development of future strategic priorities that will become the main program of work intended to achieve the aspiration of the next strategic plan for the department.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Lead, manage and develop teams and foster and maintain a collaborative and engaged culture to ensure work practices and deliverables meet quality expectations and comply with policies, budgets, and timeframes.
- Design project plans and lead and manage the implementation of strategic projects and programs of work to deliver priorities and responsibilities.
- Drive the department’s input into the development and review of education legislation, compliance policy and frameworks, and prepare advice to Cabinet to meet the Minister’s legislative responsibilities in a timely manner.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with industry stakeholders and other government agencies to ensure effective project and program design and implementation.
- Represent the department’s position and chair key forums and consultations in relation to strategic priorities.
- Work collaboratively across the Transformation Directorate to contribute to and inform new policy proposals, reform directions and major projects.
- Influencing, shaping, and implementing tertiary education projects and programs by building effective relationships with high-profile stakeholders who often have divergent views.

**Essential criteria**:

- Tertiary qualifications in social sciences, economics or related fields or relevant experience.
