**Principal Consultant, Workplace Relations**
- _Salary FTE: $130,673 to $152,772 (Plus Superannuation) _

- _Usual work location: 1 Spring St, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)_

**The Role**

The Principal Consultant, Workplace Relations is responsible for the delivery of the full range of workplace relations functions and will play a lead role in providing expert workplace relations advice and support at all levels within the department and across its portfolio agencies. A key component of the role is to manage portfolio entity enterprise bargaining by providing advice on Government policy and guidance on process.

**The Team**

The position of Principal Consultant, Workplace Relations forms a part of the Corporate Services Group, People and Culture Branch and Workplace Relations and Safety Team. The People and Culture Branch is a strategic, tactical and operational function, supporting the achievement of the department's objectives by providing excellent service and trusted advice. It has a clear focus on adding value to the department by supporting the Executive Board to drive Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions organisational culture through a range of strategies and initiatives.

**About You**
- Proven experience, and a record of achievement, in managing complex workplace issues in a public sector environment
- Proven experience in establishing and maintaining working relationships with key stakeholders
- High level negotiation, consultation and communication skills
- Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills
