**Who Are You**:
You will describe yourself as an experienced and qualified WHS and/or Risk professional who is able to work independently and with limited supervision. You thrive in a flexible working team and have excellent relationship building skills to ensure stakeholder relationships are maintained. You take pride in your work and enjoy adding value to operational workplaces through the development, implementation, and support to workers of the WHS systems and processes.

You are required to have a registered business and ABN with any required relevant insurances.

**The Company**:
Our client is a Multi-Level Service Provider Consultancy company that has been asked to provide WHS consultants to their client and operations by assisting them with their mining, civil construction and operations safety processes. The service includes engaging with the client and their contractors to provide ongoing WHS support.

**The Opportunity**:
This on-going contract position is a drive in on Wednesday and drive out on Tuesday role on a mine site in the Southwest region (approximately 200km from Perth).and will see you working a 11-12-hour day on a 1 week on and 1 week off roster.

Accommodation and meals are also provided.

Your main objective will be to provide safety, health and risk management advice and support to the client, workers and contractors in maintaining and complying with their safety management systems and processes associated with mining, civil construction and operations safety processes.

**Your responsibilities will be**:

- Manage compliance to the WHS systems and processes.
- Carry out reviews and audits of safety procedures for compliance.
- Mentor management, supervision, workers and contractors on legislation, standards, codes of practice and field WHS performance etc.
- Carry out incident investigations and develop reports (including ICAM and DIMIRS reports) that includes causal factors and recommendations.
- Carry out hazard identification risk assessments and workplace inspections.
- Compile weekly reports.
- Develop and present various safety meetings &
- Maintain site relations.

**To be successful for this position you will have**:

- Tertiary OSH Qualifications.
- At least 5 years previous experience within the Civil Construction/Mining/Ore Processing and/or other High-Risk Industries.
- Lead Incident investigation (ICAM)
- A current HLTAID003 - Provide First Aid & White Card is essential.
- Experience in WHS legislation & carrying out internal compliance auditing of safety systems.
- Excellent time management & organisational skills - ability to prioritise demands and meet targets.
- Excellent IT systems skills - Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work independently, flexibly, co-operatively and efficiently as a member of a client-focused team &
- Experience in Organisational Risk Management and Business Continuity

This position will be offered on as required contract basis and is potentially for 2+ years, you will be paid via your own ABN at the submission of your invoice.
The successful applicant will need to carry out a pre-employment medical and pass a drug and alcohol test prior to commencing the role.
