Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) supports the E-7A Wedgetail AEW&C System for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), including engineering development activities to deliver regular block change upgrades to the fleet.
As a Block IV&V Lead within the E-7A Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team, you will be instrumental in defining the approach for integration, verification and validation as it relates to block upgrades of the E-7A Wedgetail and its supporting ground systems. In addition, you will work directly with customer representatives, Block engineering leadership and the Block engineering teams to coordinate engineering effort, solve problems, identify and manage risks, and ensure overall success of the Block upgrade.
This role can be based in Adelaide (SA), Williamtown (NSW) or Brisbane (QLD). Support for relocation from other locations will also be considered.

**Responsibilities**:

- Developing strategies and plans for system integration, verification, and validation.
- Contributing to requirements definition, system decomposition and design of the Block solution
- Establishing and leading a successful integration and verification program to deliver a verified, compliant solution to the customer.
- Working with the Block 7 SEIT Engineering Manager to ensure the integration, verification and validation scope is appropriately planned, prioritised and delivered within the quality, schedule and budget constraints of the project.

Experience/Qualifications
- Tertiary degree in engineering with relevant discipline experience. (RPEQ &/or CPEng is highly desirable.)
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in complex technical development and integration projects. Previous experience working on Defence programs is highly desirable.
- A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on first time quality.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to engage, influence and negotiate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and customers.
- Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles and lifecycle management, including Mandated System Reviews.
- Experience developing and executing against key systems engineering artefacts.
- Experience with engineering change management processes and progressing change management artefacts.
- Knowledge of the Wedgetail platform is highly desirable.
