**The Role**

**An exciting new opportunity has come up for a Banquet Supervisor within a Mexican Restaurant in a world class Hotel located in Doncaster.** This role will directly report to the Restaurant and Food & Beverage Manager and has the opportunity to progress and develop.

This Venue is brand new and has only been open and operating for 12 months, with brand new facilities in the kitchen, dining, events and guest space. We are looking to on-board a leader to excel the business strategies, performance, reputation and brand. Someone who is hands on, eager to start up a Venue as their own and is passionate about the Hospitality industry.

Offering an extremely generous salary, you must have experience within the events sector and have managed a team in a moderate to fast pace environment. Applicants who have skills working with marketing, operations and training teams within a previous employer will be highly favourable.

The Front of House Supervisor is responsible for the assistance of the successful operation of the Restaurant as well as managing the event department including the service delivery of events held whilst the up-line manager is off shift. The position ensures the implementation and upkeep of the department's standard of excellence, ensuring that this is achieved through innovative and adequate training facilitation whilst maintaining profitability and adhering to budget guidelines.

**About the role**:

- Directing a team of approximately 20 front of house staff. Reporting to Restaurant Manager and working closely with the FOH & BOH team to ensure smooth running of all Restaurant operations
- Stock control management
- Assisting with bookings and reservations
- Ensuring venue meets OH&S and Food Safety standards
- Team member training and on-going support
- Guest satisfaction and meal standards

**About you**:

- Proven experience in Restaurant, Events or Hotel Supervisory roles in fast paced environments
- Strong knowledge of the Food & Beverage Industry in Melbourne
- High levels of organisational and leaderships skills
- Ability to lead a high performing team
- High levels of effective communication and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage, supervise and deliver functions to a high standard
- Current RSA
- Maintain a high level of self-grooming and always be appropriately presented
