**Work for 3 days per week (flexibility around days)**

**9.00am to 5.00pm (**22.8 hrs per week)**

**$45,765 to $48,190 per year range**

**Full time equivalent (depending on skills/experience)**

**The role is based in Werribee**

**with an expectation to work at other sites/locations within the region to fulfill operational requirements**

**About the role...**

The Receptionist Administrative Officer (RAO) position is critical to the successful operation and support for the Migrant Services Team.

The RAO is the first point of contact for staff, clients, service providers and the general public and is responsible for the daily operation of the office. The RAO is responsible for providing reception and administrative support at all times with the inclusion of the program support as identified and requested by the Team Leader, Individual, Youth and Family Services. Some of the main responsibilities of the role include:

- Meet and greet clients and visitors and provide exceptional customer service.
- Work in consultation, and with support of Team Leader to respond to clients who present in immediate crisis.
- Ensure office opening and closure in accordance with the Opening hours, and that the front reception is staffed at all times.
- Administrative support to programs/staff, including but not limited to, data entry, maintaining spreadsheets, databases, and client files
- Maintain financial procedures for programs and staff; include maintenance of petty cash, credit/debit card systems and redirection of invoices/payment requests to MiCare finance personnel.
- Assist in administrative functions for meetings and events, including catering.
- Ensure adequate supplies of consumables, such as stationary, printer, and kitchen supplies.

**Qualifications**:

- Appropriate experience and/or qualifications in relevant area.

**Skills**
- Demonstrated experience and/or qualifications in administration and accounts.
- Sound computer literacy and proficiency in use of Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, Excel and desktop publishing.
- Ability to prioritise and manage workloads as required.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and with others in a participative and supportive manner.
- Demonstrated professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- An understanding of the effect the refugee experience has on individuals, families, and communities, including lived experience of migration and/or resettlement.
- Lived experience of migration, and resettlement, and/or capacity to speak a relevant community language advantageous

**A police check with no disclosable outcome, current medicare evidence of influenza vaccination and full COVID-19 vaccination is required by MiCare for this position.**
