This is an exciting time for Swinburne University and as such we are seeking an experienced leader and seasoned Chief People Officer (CPO) who will be a major contributor to shaping Swinburne as a truly responsive, deliberate and evidence-based organisation.

As the CPO, you will work with Swinburne leaders to build a workforce and culture that enables the university to deliver on its strategy and ensure a positive workplace experience for its staff and for the community.

This position will lead implementation of the university’s People and Culture strategy and priorities as agreed with the Chief Operations Officer in support of the University’s Horizon 2025 strategy. It will direct and implement People and Culture policies, procedures, frameworks, and programs across the employment lifecycle aligned with the university’s objectives including employee and industrial relations, talent management; workforce planning, diversity and inclusion, learning and development, remuneration, reward and benefits, payroll and occupational health, safety and wellbeing.

The CPO will be a member of the Vice Chancellors Leadership Team, and a trusted advisor to the Chair of the Executive Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the Vice Chancellor, the Chief Operations Officer and the Executive Group.

This is a pivotal position as you will be directing and navigating the people strategy; therefore, if you an experienced leader would like the opportunity to support Swinburne in their Horizon 2025 strategy; this is the position for you.

**About You**
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

- Significant experience in a similar role in an organisation of similar size and complexity.
- Proven success in developing, implementing and operationalising functional strategies.
- A strong background and experience in Industrial Relations and overseeing multiple Industrial Instruments.
- Experience developing and leading organisation wide transformational programs of work.
- Strategic thinking skills and extensive experience working with executive teams and senior leaders.

**Qualifications**
Postgraduate qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration or other Business-related degree and/or post graduate qualifications.
