The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) is the voice of general practitioners across Australia and supports the Australian health system by setting standards for education and practice and advocating for better health and wellbeing for all Australians. A professional collective with patient-centred care at its heart, RACGP represents more than 40,000 members and supports the dedicated General Practitioners who make up Australia's largest medical specialty. RACGP cultivate a stronger profession by helping the GPs of today and tomorrow continue their professional development throughout their careers, supporting members to be involved in all areas of care, including aged care, mental health, preventative care and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health.

In partnership with the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Leadership Team, you will lead the People and Capability function across Talent and Performance, People Services, HR Business Partnering, Organisational Development, Payroll, Workplace Health and Safety, Employee Communications and Profession Led HR Training. You will ensure that RACGP has a positive and inclusive culture, provides engaging employee experience and has the right people and aligned capabilities to deliver on the strategic vision of the college.

As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will significantly contribute to RACGP's strategic direction and success. You will partner with leadership to ensure the People Strategy continues to support the impact and effectiveness of RACGP. Additionally, you will play a critical role in further developing a well-defined and inclusive company culture, focused on employee wellbeing and a highly engaged workforce. You will have a strong focus on driving efficiency and effectiveness across RACGP processes and systems, to ensure the college continues to deliver exceptional outcomes for all members. Additionally, you will engage with the Board and external stakeholders to understand the current environment within RACGP and identify future needs and lead organisational success.

You are recongised as a reputable People and Culture executive, with experience leading through complex organizational change and transformation. You will have led end-to-end People and Culture operations, successfully implementing best practice strategies, processes and frameworks across diverse industries. You are highly regarded for your strong commercial acumen and ability to engage and influence a diverse group of stakeholders internally, across sector and government through significant times of change. Your executive peers admire your collaborative approach and ability to remain focused on the long-term vision. Experience stabilising workforces following or through mergers and acquisitions, significant growth periods and the integration of employees will be highly regarded.

RACGP are open to having the Chief People Officer role permanently located in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or eastern seaboard.
