**.** This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional leader to join their leadership team. This permanent, full-time role will commence between Term 3 and Term 4.

**The Role**:
The Learning and Teaching Leader: Pedagogy contributes to the core strategic focus of the College to build a culture of expert teaching.

**The Learning and Teaching Leader has overall responsibility for**:

- The promotion of a culture of collaboration amongst teachers which enhances pedagogical practices
- The whole school literacy program, which is currently in the early stages of design, will therefore require the development of a policy and an implementation plan.
- Supporting teachers to shift pedagogy from PBL-dominated to a more balanced model that reflects current best practices in student-centred learning
- Suggesting and planning professional learning programs to support teachers within the classroom
- Delivering professional learning programs to staff as required
- Making recommendations to Learning Leadership Team deliberations about the nature of the learning and teaching programs at Years 7-12, following the annual review of course materials
- Supporting the Director of Learning with liaison and line management of the Learning Leader Team and individual members of this team as required
- The coaching program in the College, linked to the ARM process and leadership development
- Working with Learning and Teaching Leader - Inclusion and Inclusion Lead Teachers to support differentiated classroom practice where appropriate
- Establishing data-informed practice, including surveying students to provide confidential feedback to teachers
- Supporting the Director of Learning in SEQTA implementation
- Digital learning oversight and partnership with Digital Learning Leader
- Classroom Observations and Feedback
- Support induction for new staff members about learning and teaching at Emmanuel College
- Attending Graduation and Celebration of Excellence

**Key Selection Criteria**:
**The successful applicant must have**:

- **Commitment to Catholic Education** - demonstrate an understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission
- **Commitment to Child Safety** - demonstrate an understanding of child safety and possess a familiarity with legal obligations relating to child safety
- **Education and Experience** - Posses the relevant teaching qualification and experience as well as have expertise in contemporary learning and teaching
- **Leadership Experience** - an understanding of this role as a faith leader and articulate a vision for student learning. The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to work with teams and build the capacity of teams to perform at a high level
- Current and valid registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) and valid working rights

**Terms and appointment**:

- **Commencing between Term 3 and 4, 2023**, the Learning and Teaching Leader: Pedagogy is a three-year fixed-term position** **of responsibility with an ongoing teaching position.**:

- The remuneration package is attractive and will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
- The successful applicant will have a 0.67 Leadership & a 0.33 FTE teaching load.
