**Your new role**

Come bring your skills and expertise to make a difference to affordable housing outcomes Working with Councillors and officers across six local governments, you will be using your advocacy, partnership management and project delivery skills to represent the affordable housing needs of the Eastern region. Key responsibilities will include developing and implementing communications plans, policy and planning advice and high-level secretariat services to the Eastern Affordable Housing Alliance. You will report directly to the Coordinator Integrated Community and Health Planning and work collaboratively across the six local governments facilitating success on a number of our key projects.

This is a Band 7 classified role; remuneration will be $104,630.20 - $117,345.47 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

**What you will need to thrive**

The key selection criteria for this role are:

- Significant experience developing and implementing communications plans that are effective with Council audiences.
- Demonstrated relationship management skills including the ability to interact, negotiate and provide advice to a variety of stakeholders.
- Awareness of homelessness and social and affordable housing issues and policies within a local, Victorian and Australian context with well-developed conceptual and analytical thinking ability.
- Experience in social media marketing and communications / proactive and reactive communications around complex or sensitive issues.
- Experience providing support and advice to high-level working groups/committees operating in a political setting.
- Report writing skills and the ability to collate, collect, analyse complex information and synthesise into concise and accurate documents for public release.
- Highly developed project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines within budgetary requirements.
