**The Opportunity**

We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join the People Services team of our client based in Melbourne CBD for an initial 6-month period.

The People and Culture team is a multi-functional HR team working in a high profile, fast paced environment. The team works closely with internal stakeholders, to identify strategic and operational workforce requirements. The team sits within the Regulatory Support and Governance Group, which includes multi-disciplinary teams with specialists in governance, finance, information technology, communication and other disciplines to ensure the success and sustainability of corporate initiatives.

**The Role**

As a key member of the People and Culture team, you will contribute to the effective delivery of considered and innovative HR services across the business.

**Duties will include;**
- providing advice to senior leaders, managers and employees on human resource management issues within the functional areas described
- liaising with the Service Delivery Office for the purpose of ensuring all HR information, including employee information and payroll and superannuation payments are accurate
- ensuring HR administrative functions are compliant with legislative and policy requirements
- conducting research and analysis to inform delivery of best-practice HR solutions
- contributing to People and Culture’s reporting capability including creating reports, briefs and correspondence for senior managers and a range of stakeholders
- coordinating or participating in People and Culture projects or providing people management advice and input on other projects as required

**To be successful you will demonstrate;**
- Relevant tertiary qualification is desirable
- A solid knowledge of the employee lifecycle
- including contracts, termination, organisation management and workforce change.
- Demonstrated experience working as an effective generalist human resource practitioner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to confidently provide relevant and practical support and advice, and to prepare a range of documents including drafting contracts, policies, interpreting EBA
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the management of strategic projects ensuring outcomes are achieved and deadlines are met.
- Strong leadership, guidance and influencing skills and the ability to contribute towards achieving expected business outcomes.
